Start at the "Ministries Esplanade". At the entrance, you will find the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady Aparecida, and moving on through a number of ministries, you will find the National Congress, the The Three Powers Square, the Supreme Federal Court and the Planalto Palace. Right next to it is the Itamaraty Palace of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, which is one of the most visited architectural landmarks in the capital, together with the cathedral. Nearby you can see the JK Bridge, considered one of the most beautiful landmarks of the capital and the world. Although not so close from there, the Alvorada Palace, the official residence of the President, is also worth checking. Back at the Esplanade, head to the Television Tower, which has permanent exhibitions of local handicrafts, and a viewpoint to enjoy panoramic city views.
In the afternoon, our tip is to visit the JK Memorial, which houses the tomb of the founder of Brasilia, his private library and personal effects, which tell the story of the founding of the new capital in photos and video. Continue this journey back in time visiting also the Catetinho, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the first official residence of Juscelino Kubitschek in Brasilia.
Brasilia is the ideal city to meet diverse manifestations of divine faith. The suggestion is to start the day by visiting the "Parque Ecológico Don Bosco Chapel," which bears the name of the priest who dreamed of the Promised Land and a lake right in the Central Highlands. From the viewpoint location, you can appreciate stunning views of the city. Afterwards, visit the Templo da Legião da Boa Vontade (Temple of the Legion of Good Will), where you will find the "ParlaMundi," the ecumenical world parliament. The architecture in the form of a big pyramid houses an atmosphere full of spirituality, ideal to recharge your energy under the 21-kg crystal, located in the central apex. Another option is to visit the City of Peace, the International Holistic University, located 26 km away from Brasilia. The visits should be scheduled in advance.
Make sure to check the agenda of the "Caixa Cultural," located next to the headquarters building of the Caixa at the beginning of the Asa Sul (South Wing), which always has great options for theater, concerts and exhibitions. For breakfast, lunch, happy hour or dinner, see our restaurants at
